Work Work Work...

So I finally have a home, 42 Hallenstein St. or as I like to call it HELLentsein, why? Well it is so close to town, only 3 blocks! I know what your thinking wow. Amazing!!!!! How did she find a place so close! Well, while it may be close, it is up a HUGE HILL!! So maybe Hillinstein is more fitting. I live with 2 Skydiving instructors Kaleb and Greg. My place has a balcony, perfect for my morning coffee, or tea lately, and by morning I mean 1 pm.

Started my job. Title- rOcKStaR, I'll take that any day. My job consists of very, very hard work. Making sure the customers are having a great time, serving lots of booze, and dancing around with my coworkers to obscenely loud music, all while making a few amazing

cocktails from the finest liquors in the world, and sharing bottles of champagne. Basically I am getting paid to party all night. What a perfect job for a working holiday.

Ahhhh the fresh air

Saws roaring, the smell of freshly cut wood, misty rain floats across the sky, the hazy fog rolls across the mountain top, but you can still see. The breeze is cool on this summer day. One of those where you want to curl up in front of the firepalce. People walk into Joe's Garage ready for their morning fix. and out they go happy and caffeinated ready to start their day. This is what my morning was like staying in the Nomads hostel. My room had a lovely balcony!! I lucked out and and shared a room with a bunch of fun Brits' and a Kiwi! Speaking of kiwi's......

I was invited over to a BDAY BBQ whatever you want to call it at 2 Brazilians and a Kiwi's house. We all had a great time, but some of us had more fun than others as you can see :)

I also discovered where I will be spending my mornings (everyone else's afternoons) running along the lake. The Frankton Track. Beautiful, fresh air and tons of wildlife.

Cheers!

Fish and Icks

I landed finally! Auckland, NZ, but I still have a 3 hour layover to Queenstown. On the way to QT pass over some beautiful mountians. The scenery here is just unbelievable!!

I decided to round up the countries and
that we should have dinner by the water. I listened to Germany (girl i
n the bed across from me). She decided we should have the Fish and Chips. Scottland agreed. I will Never listed to a GERMAN again, needless to say the food was great, that is until
3 hours later when I was having a drink Pog Mahoneys listening to a great Irish band play, and suddenly had to rush out to almost throw up. Luckily I didn't. If you see this stand my friends, DON'T DO It!

I have gone on a few great hikes, one to the top of the Gondola! (right)

The other: Queenstown Hill. I think my favorite part of the hike was when I reached the top of the hill and found the oh so great Basket of dreams, where I proceeded to take a short nap.

Miles High

To my left thick Cokebottles, a pilled cashmere sweater, slurping his morning OJ. My right; Ipod listening, magazine flipping, peanut eating, soda sipping boy. Middle, me, IPOD in. Playlist: Nantucket #1, Carolina Liar playing. Magazine in hand, Elle December Issue, reading Joe Zee article diligently. Location: Somewhere over my rainbow, millions of miles high.

As I was dropped off in St. Louis, I thought, here I go again. Another new place, another new day. Sometimes I wonder myself why I do it; why I move around so much. But then I remember all the great people I meet along the way. It's a hard thing to do, moving around like this. Leaving the familiar, to make a new one that will eventually be gone again. But I know it's all worth it when I board that plane and all the excitement comes rushing in. Destination: New Zealand.
